Goodsmile Company will donate 1000 Yen for the Japan earthquake disaster relief efforts with every purchase of Hatsune Miku Support version!
Goodsmile Company has already donated 10,000,000 yen (abt 125,000 USD) and has come up with this version to get Miku fans to contribute too.
This version comes with all the faces of the already released normal Nendoroid Miku as well as a new support cheerful face, the flag and pom poms. The captions on the flag say in English text “You are not alone” and Japanese text 一緒にがんばろう！ “Let’s do our best together!”
The figure will only be available for preorder from Goodsmile online store and she’ll be manufactured on demand which is great. You won’t have to panic about her selling out like Snow Miku and the likes *cough*.
International sales will be open on 8 April 2011. So watch out for it :) at the online store.

Well, I would argument how 3000 compared to 1000 is still not a good factor point BUT I didn’t know that Good Smile had already donated 10.000.000 yens to the cause, so I kinda take what I said back.

As I said in another comment, I almost buy a fake nendoroid (Sebastian), but if I could get one original, this would be my first; a memorable nendoroid + I help Japan with it.
Me wants a nendoroid! I don’t mind if the guys who had the fake says it costs 100000 in local currency! I can save the money and pay him if he gets it! Ains ¬¬…
@Asamisa: Watch out for a reissue. Sebby was reissued once. Don’t give up :) Getting this Miku mean you can contribute and own your very first nendoroid too.
I don’t know how to say this without sounding like a douche bag but… for 1000 yens I was thinking they were “cheaper”?
I’ve seen many people selling products (like Takuya Angel, the expensive clothes DJ Sisen wears) giving discounts in their clothes and donating all the money received.
It’s definetly a good cause and all help.. helps. Though I won’t be taking a part of this particular purchase.
@Oru: Nope, it crossed my mind too. Cos we have the option of NOT buying Miku and donate the full 3000 Yen to Japan red cross instead :P Which is definitely the best and most straightforward option.
But in a way, companies doing something like this will be able to help get some of their customers who may otherwise not donate any money anyway if not for buying their merchandise. There’s also a psychological “feel-good” factor for the customer as well as gaining PR points (and tax rebates maybe?) for the company + money donated. So it’s pretty much win-win all around :)
